Here at K-9 Arts, we use a method of behavioral work called The Natural Method. Dogs operate within natural drives and the most important one for behavioral work is RANK (another way of describing Pack Theory). The most important factor is that each member of the pack knows where he or she stands at all times. This placement is what provides a happy and contented family structure.
An identical process will occur between you and your dog. Proper communication is the key to success with The Natural Method. Many training systems fail because the owner is never taught the importance of speaking in a language that the dog is able to understand. If you understand and utilize correct communication you will be able to place your dog properly. If not, behavioral problems result.
Our master trainer and behavioral specialist, Roger has had classical training in five different methods, including: The American Kennel Club, United States Canine Academy, The Monks of New Skete, The Koehler Method, and Schutzhund training methods.
His experience with these methods combined with more than thirty years of professional training has proven that The Natural Method meets the needs of more owners than any other method that he has encountered. Roger believes that in addition to experience, being a good trainer requires a commitment to an open mind and a continual learning process that incorporates new ideas.
